DESCRIPTION:Founded in 1990 by visionary Odissi dancer Protima Gauri\, **Nr
 ityagram** stands as India’s first modern **dance village**—a Gurukula
 -inspired residential community where artists live\, train\, and create wi
 thin an immersive\, purpose-built campus. T he Nrityagram Dance Ensemble\,
  advances classical traditions through rigorous training\, creative innova
 tion\, and acclaimed global performances.\n\nThis rare confluence of art\,
  architecture\, and community makes Nrityagram not only a sanctuary for th
 e spirit of Indian classical dance but also a living testament to its cont
 inuing evolution.\n\n\n\nHow to join this session\nYou don't need artistic
  skill to participate in this event - just boundless curiosity and a love 
 for drawing. To connect with other participants\, please use our community
  on Discord.\n\nIf this is your first time and would like future update on
  events\, and more. Please register here. Once you arrive at the location\
 , choose a spot you'd like to sketch and get comfortable.\n\nThere is an e
 ntry ticket at Nrityagram\, INR 150 per person.\n\n\n\nThings to carry for
  this session\n\n 	A sketchbook/paper/drawing surface.\n 	Any medium you w
 ould like to use/learn/try.\n 	A portable chair/mat. If the location has n
 o seating\, we tend to sit on the ground.\n 	Water bottle and snacks.\n 	C
 arry some food as this space has no canteen ( Food cannot be eaten inside 
 the premises)\n\n\n\n\nNotes for this location \n\n 	There is an entry ti
 cket of 150/- per person charged by Nrityagram.\n 	We meet near the Nritya
 gram office for a quick brief at 10am. We reconvene at the same space at 1
 pm for the Sketch Showcase.\n 	Carry lunch / snacks as this space has no c
 anteen\, food can be consumed outside the campus.\n 	Please do not litter.
  All litter must be carried back to the city to be disposed of.\n 	Photogr
 aphy of dancers and dance classes is not allowed.\n 	Participants are requ
 ested to maintain silence during the classes\, and in the campus. If you w
 ish to listen to music\, please carry headphones.\n\n\n\n\nHow to get ther
 e\nAs suggested on the Nrityagram website \nNrityagram is 35 kilometres f
 rom MG Road and 5 kilometres from Hessaraghatta village. There are several
  options to get here:\n\n 	Private Transport: car or two wheeler\n 	Bus\n\
 n 	From City Market take bus number 266A\, 253C\, 253D\, 253E\n 	From Maje
 stic take bus number 253J\n 	Buses stop at Hessaraghatta village\, where y
 ou can get an auto-rickshaw (Approximately ₹150/200 one-way).\n\n\n 	Met
 ro\n\n 	The closest Metro station is Dasarahalli.\n 	From Dasarahalli take
  bus number 253D\, 253E\, 253F or 253J to Hessaraghatta village\, where yo
 u can get an auto-rickshaw (Approximately INR 150/200 one-way).\n\n\n 	Don
