DESCRIPTION:The equestrian statue of Sir Mark Cubbon (1785–1861)\, sculpt
 ed by the renowned artist Carlo Marochetti and unveiled in 1866\, commemor
 ates the longest-serving Commissioner of Mysore under the East India Compa
 ny.\n\nOriginally installed near the High Court of Karnataka\, the bronze 
 statue was relocated in 2020 to Cubbon Park\, beside the historic Bandstan
 d\, to make it more accessible to the public. The work not only recalls Be
 ngaluru’s colonial history but also invites reflection on the city’s e
 volving cultural and civic identity.\n\nYou don't need artistic skill to p
