We will meet at Cubbon Park this Sunday, in front of the Statue of Edward VII. The statue is a wonderful subject to draw, showcasing the intricate details of the drapery that accompanies British royalty, meticulously and beautifully sculpted by Leonard Jennings.
This area is opposite the Cubbon Metro Station, across from Kanteerava Stadium. Once you arrive at the location, choose a spot you’d like to sketch and get comfortable. To connect with other participants, please use our Discord community app.
You don’t need artistic skill to participate in this event – just boundless curiosity and a love for drawing.
Things to carry for this session:
– A sketchbook/paper
– Pencils or any medium you would like to try out
– A portable chair/mat. If the location has no seating, we tend to sit on the ground
– Summer hat, water, and snacks
