Our sketching session at Science Gallery Bengaluru takes us to a unique space where art, science, and research intersect. Established in 2020 as part of the global Science Gallery Network and anchored by the Indian Institute of Science, it is India’s first public institution dedicated to engaging young people through exhibitions, labs, and interdisciplinary exploration.
How to join this session
You don’t need artistic skill to participate in this event – just boundless curiosity and a love for drawing. To connect with other participants, please use our community on Discord.

Once you arrive at the location, choose a spot you’d like to sketch and get comfortable.
Things to carry for this session
- A sketchbook/paper/drawing surface
- Any medium you would like to use/learn/try.
- A portable chair/mat. If the location has no seating, we tend to sit on the ground
- Water bottle and snacks
