Edward Elliot’s Beach, popularly known as Besant Nagar Beach, is one of Chennai’s most beloved coastal spots. Named after Edward Elliot, a British officer, the beach also houses iconic landmarks like the Karl Schmidt Memorial.
The shore lines, with everyday life unfolding along the shore, Besant nagar beach is an inspiring setting for us to observe as we draw.
You don’t need artistic skill to participate in this event – just boundless curiosity and a love for drawing.

– A sketchbook/paper/drawing surface
– Pencils or any medium you would like to try out
– A portable chair/mat. If the location has no seating, we tend to sit on the ground
– Water bottle and snacks
