Sumit Sunil Pawaskar

A self-taught artist working in the gaming industry, Sumit Pawaskar explores places through observation, drawing, and visual storytelling. Coming from a non-art background, he developed his artistic practice through years of sketching from life, using drawing as a way to better understand architecture, public spaces, and the character of everyday environments.

Working primarily with watercolor and ink, he captures urban scenes, heritage structures, and overlooked details encountered during his travels and daily life. His sketches balance loose washes with deliberate linework, focusing less on literal representation and more on conveying atmosphere, memory, and a sense of place.

Through his work, familiar locations become visual records of observation—moments of attention that celebrate the beauty and identity of the built environment
