Penciljam Bengaluru at Museum of Art & Photography (MAP)

We are drawing at the Museum of Art and Photography this Sunday.

The Museum of Art & Photography (MAP), located in the heart of Bengaluru, is dedicated to making art accessible and engaging for all. Visit their website to see the current exhibits. The Exhibit: Visible Invisible is leaving MAP on Dec 30th, this is your last chance to explore this splendid collection.

We are delighted to partner with MAP who has made the space available for this session from 10:30am to 1pm.

How to join this session

You don’t need artistic skill to participate in this event – just boundless curiosity and a love for drawing. To connect with other participants, please use our community on Discord.

Rules at this location

  • Inform the front desk that you are there for Penciljam,
  • Confirm your name against the RSVP list, you can also register on the spot for this event
  • Leave your bag in the lockers at the basement level.
  • You can carry an A4/A5 or smaller sketchbook and portable dry material kit to draw within.
  • Choose a spot you’d like to sketch and get comfortable.

Things to carry for this session

  • A sketchbook/paper (A4/A5 or smaller sketchbook)
  • Art materials of your choice – Pencils or any dry medium. (within the museum we cannot use wet media like paints. Only non-messy dry media is allowed)
  • If the location has no seating, we tend to sit on the ground – be mindful of not blocking the path of visitors to the museum.
  • You cannot carry bags of any sort into the galleries. Leave your bags in the locker.
  • Water refill stations are available – however bottles have to be kept outside the Galleries.

The museum has two cafes, one on the ground level and one on the rooftop. If you choose to draw in these spots, please be mindful that you order something and do not use the tables for longer than needed. These are billable tables for the museum.
